Principal's Message
We are excited to welcome Adam Hurder as the next principal of Traughber Junior High School.
The student-centered approach taken by Mr. Hurder allows him to prioritize crucial aspects of the school experience, such as learning, voice, and well-being. He builds relationships focused on listening to understand his students and their behaviors. Mr. Hurder also brings a great understanding of the community that is informed by data and his current experiences.
Mr. Hurder comes from his current role as the Executive Director of Educational Services, grades 6-12, in Valley View School District 365U. He started his career as a fifth-grade teacher, and has served as a Director/Coordinator of Mathematics for PreK-5th grade and Science Curriculum, and Executive Director of Educational Services PreK-5th grade.
